“In a political world that is encouraging fearing and rejecting the different, the Science Bridge will be the compass for removing barriers. As an Arab in Israel I do believe that by science we can bridge people together through the passion for knowledge. Science gives equal opportunities regardless to political opinions and conflicts.”

Mouna Maroun received her Ph.D. from the University of Haifa in Israel and continued her postdoctoral studies in Paris Sud XI in Orsay France. At present, she is the Chair of the Sagol Department of Neurobiology at the University of Haifa. She is an active member in ALMARAM association that aims to promote science in Arab schools in Israel.
