We are extremely saddened that our colleagues here have passed away. They were the champions of science and humanity. Even though they are not among us, they have left in this world a forever-lasting imprint of their personal and esteemed mark on both people and science. ‘The Science Bridge’ thanks them for their support. Rita Levi-Montalcini (22 April 1909 – 30 December 2012), European Brain Research Institute, Italy., an awardee of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 1986 for discovering the nerve growth factor.
David H. Hubel (27 February 1926 – 22 September 2013), Harvard Medical School, U.S.A., an awardee of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 1981 for discovering information processing in the visual system.
Itzchak Parnas (11 November 1935 – 28 November 2012), The Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel
